THS may have advice, but all I do is soak the dried overnight (not necessary, truth be told) then boil them in salted water until done to my liking. If you really do mean fresh, then just go ahead and boil them, and for less time than dried. Pretty simple.Mister Meatballhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08894424419777471903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3515095700241511531.post-75579728326461639542011-10-30T16:24:54.190-04:002011-10-30T16:24:54.190-04:00Maybe you'd think I'm a heathen, but I do ...Maybe you'd think I'm a heathen, but I do the saute with some onion for sweetness. But here's a question for Mr. Strenk or Meatball-Face or whomever: any tips on cooking the fresh garbanzos? I love your idea of cooking a huge mess of them all at once to use over time. Hate the huge amount of salt and what have you in the canned ones.Fredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07767982824648887655noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3515095700241511531.post-35856383548126066942011-10-25T15:45:13.931-04:002011-10-25T15:45:13.931-04:00Made this for Monday dinner -- swapped capers for ...Made this for Monday dinner -- swapped capers for anchovies and added some mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes.
