The squid and the shrimp

Stuck in the house with a major flu, so what in the world to do?

Make the pasta.

With the squid ink.

Ink, eggs, olive oil and salt in the flour.

The dough.

The sheets.

And the noodles.

An angel delivered some nice Maine shrimp.

Put 'em together.

And it's done in a flash.

Sorry, gotta go.

Buon appetito!

That looks absolutely amazing. I love squid ink pasta, especially at The Daily Catch in Boston's North End. They do puttanesca with it and it's just ridiculous. I passed the message on the Dietz for you, by the way..

It was real good, yeah. Though truth be told, the sweetness of the Maine shrimp could have used a lighter hand w/ the garlic, and my garlic hand is anything but, well, light. Agreed on the Catch's puttanesca. And thanks for passing along the message, and for checking in. Hope the goombah-fest was swell, and that no wiseguys were harmed during filming of the prison scene.

Where'd you get the ink??

Got the ink in NYC (I'm down there often) at a place in the Chelsea Market call Buon Italia. The link's on my site under "Where I buy stuff."
